We’re celebrating more than my musical’s debut album in this episode!
We’re celebrating moving in together. My song, “Celebrate” from Hiccups has come to life! Only…without the drama of course.
We made it through the hardest part of the moving process, and we recently vacationed in Disney World, almost to reward ourselves for arriving at such a milestone. This was my first time at Disney!!
We are now benefiting from the steady rhythm of living together and being each other’s safe space, and that is a major win. I’m frankly surprised I’m here. I’ve come so far.
In this 4th episode of Hiccuping Mind, we do a daring thing: Caitlin opens up about what it’s like to date a person with ROCD; and I embrace the challenge of being both interviewer and partner.
I specifically chose July 20th as the date to release this episode and the selections album because in 1969, the first humans walked on the moon; Neil’ing on its surface and causing such a Buzz, Aldrin and Armstrong took us giant leaps forward.
I’m sorry if this is a stretch (238 thousand miles to be exact), but to me, reaching the moon seems about as hard as it might feel to conquer OCD. But I did it. I do it. I’m here. I know I’ll have to conquer it over and over — some days more than others — but I’ll just keep planting my flags in the dirt and marching on.
We should celebrate!
Enjoy and thanks for watching,
-Stoddard
